Make the talking-head shot every documentary needs. Add a photo of a person, write what they say, and get a softly lit interview clip of them telling it.

How to make an interview shot

  1. Add a photo of one person, face clearly visible.
  2. Write their lines: a sentence or two per clip.
  3. Choose shape, length and resolution and generate.

Tips

  • Short, natural sentences sound most believable.
  • Use 16:9 for documentaries and 9:16 for social testimonials.
  • For longer speeches, record or generate the voice and use Video Avatar instead.

FAQ

What do I need?

A clear photo of one person and the words they should say.

What does the shot look like?

A seated documentary interview: the person talks to someone just off camera, with soft key light, a shallow depth of field and natural gestures.

Can I use a photo of someone else?

Only with their permission, and never to make a real person appear to say something they didn't.

How long are the clips?

Any length from 4 to 15 seconds, in 16:9, 9:16, 4:3, 3:4, 1:1 or 21:9, at 480p, 720p or 1080p.

How much does it cost?

On the Standard speed, 300 credits per second at 480p, 600 at 720p and 1,500 at 1080p; an 8-second clip at 720p uses 4,800 credits. The Fast and Mini speeds cost less, from 150 credits per second. The composer shows the price before you generate.

Who can use it?

It's available on paid plans.
