Add a portrait and a voice clip, and get a video of that person speaking the words: lips in sync, natural blinks and small head movements. Good for presenters, explainers, greetings and characters.

How to make a talking video

  1. Photo: one person, facing the camera, face clearly visible.
  2. Voice: an MP3 or WAV of the words to speak, up to 2 minutes.
  3. Resolution: 480p for drafts and social, 720p for sharper results.
  4. Add direction (optional): "calm and friendly, small nods".
  5. Generate. It takes a few minutes, longer for long clips.

Uses

  • Explainers and course videos without filming.
  • Product and support videos with a consistent presenter.
  • Characters and mascots that speak your script.
  • Personal greetings from an illustrated or AI-made portrait.

Tips

  • Clean audio, clear speech. Remove background noise first for the best lip sync.
  • Match the voice to the face. A mismatch is the first thing viewers notice.
  • Draft at 480p, then render the final at 720p.
  • Need a voice? Write the script in Text to Speech and download the audio.

FAQ

What do I need?

A clear, front-facing photo of one person and a voice clip (MP3 or WAV). The person in the photo will speak the audio, with lips moving in sync.

Can I use text instead of a voice clip?

Make the voice first with Text to Speech, then use that file here.

How much does it cost?

75 credits per second of audio at 480p, twice that at 720p, with a 3-second minimum. A 10-second clip at 480p uses 750 credits. The exact price shows once the voice clip is uploaded.

How long can the video be?

As long as the voice clip, up to 2 minutes.

What photos work best?

One face, looking at the camera, evenly lit, with the mouth closed or relaxed and nothing covering it. Head-and-shoulders framing gives the most natural movement.

Can I animate a photo of someone else?

Only with their permission. Don't use it to put words in a real person's mouth.
