Turn a video into an audio file in a few seconds. Save a podcast recording, a lecture, a song from a clip, or the voice-over from your own footage as MP3 or WAV.
How to extract audio
- Add your video: MP4, MOV or WebM up to 500 MB.
- Choose a format: MP3 for small, shareable files or WAV for editing.
- Generate. The audio file appears in your library with a waveform you can play and scrub.
- Download it, or use it in another tool.
Uses
- Podcasts and interviews recorded on video.
- Lectures and meetings to listen to on the go.
- Music and sound effects from your own clips, for editing.
- Transcription: a clean audio file is the best input for speech-to-text.
Good to know
- The audio is the first sound track in the file. Videos with several language tracks give you the default one.
- WAV files are much larger than MP3, roughly 10 MB per minute of stereo audio.
- Only extract audio from videos you own or have the right to use.
